billiard-nut
Hi, I have been using the Win32 version for years. I tried to install the Windows store version on my PC (Windows 10 Pro, 12GB of memory). It crashes on startup. I saw the post about the Documents folder being on a network share being a problem. My Documents folder is local but not default. I have my folders located on a micro SD card. I thought this might be the issue so I restored the default location and tried again. Same issue. I have attached the crash log to this post. I tried to install the latest win32 version and it does not work either. toe_head2001
The issue is caused by the Nvidia drivers on Windows 10 1703 (Creator's Update). More info here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/111674-unhandled-exception-has-occured-in-a-component-in-your-application-if-you-click-cotinue-the-application-will-ignore-this-error-and-attempt-to-continue/?do=findComment&comment=534623 The issue may be resolved with Windows 10 1709 (Fall Creator's Update). Please update, and let us know. Quote (September 25th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue. billiard-nut
Yes, it was the NVidia driver. As soon as I switched to integrated it worked. I sure hate to have to keep switching it. I use some high end graphic design and 3D modeling programs that run much better on the Quadro 2000M. Anyway work around works until the issue is fully resolved. Thanks for your help.
