Sizing scroller - editing cursor size on screen/

Hi Everyone.

I use paint.net on my desktop with Windows 8.1 pro.

When I use the paint brush tool (or other tools that allow sizing) I can simply click the font size window, and then use the mouse wheel to scroll to the required size with my cursor anywhere on the screen. This is useful, for example, when erasing because sometimes you need to use the size of the circle cursor to determine whether it will fit the area that needs to be erased without taking off some of the edge.

However, on my laptop which is running Windows 10, I find that I can only use the mouse scroll wheel to change the font size when my cursor is hovering over the font number window on the tool bar, and I can't resize the tool cursor on screen. This is frustrating because you constantly have to return the mouse to the tool bar to narrow down the size until it's correct.

Can anyone let me know if there is a way to edit this functionality in the settings on Windows 10?

(Running ver. 4.0.9 on both systems.)

Thanks in advance.
