  1. @Xerizon by posting "when a slot is avilable " you showed that you did not read the rules as this is not allowed and using the excuse that you live in a different time zone makes no sense as we all do and we all have to make allowances for that.

Don't take this as a rant just to you but this has been happening for months now, one of the reasons I stopped entering.

If you wish to challenge me enter your sig now and lets battle. :)

  2. Firstly this battle going on now is illegal, both enteries were entered while a battle was going on, extremely rude if I might add.

Here is a copy of the rule on page 1.

To start, make sure a battle is not currently in progress, and then enter a signature. Then someone else will enter with their signature, and the battle will begin! Good luck!

Too many people are ignoring the rules and just posting "Someone battle me" a battle can only commence when one has finished and a battle can only finish when someone gets 3 votes., please people read the rules on page 1 before posting.

Secondly when voting you must update the scores in your post and give a valid reason for your vote.

Is anyone still running this comp ? if not I will put myself forward for host.

Also as the current battle is void as per the rules I will enter this and await my challenge.

  3. I personally would use the method described above but if you do not have the alphamask plugin you can use the magic wand.

to make the image only show on the circle and not the transparent area.

1.Paste your image into a new layer

2.Select the background layer and using the magic wand tool click on the transparency area.

3.Now re-select your pasted in layer and hit ctrl+X

To do it the opposite way so that the pasted in image only shows on the transparent areas and not the circle just move the pasted in layer down below the circle layer.

Or do the 3 steps above but after you re-select your pasted in layer hit ctrl+I ( this inverts your selection ) then ctrl+X

Note the magic wand tool will only select all the transparent pixels if they are connected, so if you had a ring instead of a circle hold down the shift key when you click with the magic wand this will then select the transparent pixels outside the ring as well as inside.

  4. If the sig is on a transparent background and all you want to do is make it darker why not just go to Adjustments>Hue/saturation this can be used to change the blue to anyother colour and also how dark or light it is. Adjustments can be found at the top of the paint.net screen.

  5. Too simple? Personally, I don't see anything wrong with posting a simple tutorial. There are a lot of newbies out there that would benefit from a simple tutorial like this. Second, I haven't seen a tutorial with this exact text effect. If it's been done many times before, can you provide us with the links to those tutorials that have the exact same text effect as this tutorial?

I'm not going to do your work or evgirls work for you that is what the search function is for, the only difference between this and the may tuts that show how to put an image inside text is the background she uses.

New users should be working through tuts rather than posting them ;)

  6. I too like orbs ( looks at avatar ) there are plenty of good tutorials here about making them and you should try and give all of them a go and get a good feel as to what makes them look like they are glowing/shining. I believe Helen has done tutorials for them and barbieq has done some on her shiny jewellery, combine both for fantastic results.
