  1. Then post it.

    (It's a joke.)

I don't understand: you cannot install/uninstall PDN or you cannot log in to Windows.

If You have trouble with installing/uninstalling try this:

    -restart your computer

-install or reinstall the .net framework

-make sure you haven't interrupted another installation in the the background while trying to install this.

-remove all the files and folders in Program Files

-try to remove PDN's registry values (for advanced users)

    -update Windows

For logging to Windows: I am 100% sure that PDN is not the problem maker. Try scanning by an antivirus.

  3. This is not a bug.

When creating a new drawing or opening an existing one, the new graphic has got certain dimensions (width and height). When trying to paste something in the drawing that is larger, PDN doesn't know how to place the image to fit the old one. So it asks you, to resize it.

If don't want to resize, choose to not to resize.

  5. Weird.

    I mean I am also a developer.

If PDN hangs while You are browsing folders or trying to save in a folder, maybe the problem is a privilege type problem.

Try checking the permissions on files and folders, running the app as an admin, not sand-boxing it...

PDN for security uses tolkens. Maybe the programers made a bug and mixed something. Like, when I am writing a plugin, I have to handle them I don't really like that.

Or, maybe a DLL is damaged or missing. But if it was missing the app would not run (DLLs are connected as assembly references).

    Or, update PDN.

If you solve the problem please publish how did You do that.

    (If I didn't help, sorry.)

  6. In Options, you can also select:

"Automatically check for newer versions of Paint.Net" - PDN will check for updates each time You open Paint.Net

"Also check for pre-lease (beta) version") - PDN will check for updates that haven't been approved for stability... If You want to be notified about upcoming PDN version (4.0), select this.

  8. Do you mean the icon that is shown in Windows Explorer or Finder when browsing?

Well, Paint.Net 3.36 (actual version) does not let you save using the .ico (icons) extension. I don't why, but I though that in the earlier versions there was a possibility. Maybe programmers decided to change this...

If you have Visual Studio installed, try this:

    1. Open VS, create a DLL Project, in the My Project pane, open Resources, add the icons (earlier saved as gif or jpeg), compile it.

    2. Open Windows Explorer, Tool menu, Folder Options, add the new file type and the icon.

I don't know if you are reading this, so I just wrote the overview. If you don't understand this, send me a PM (Private Message).
