Wooh ragingsuns, calm down. No need to bite him and make him feel bad. Everyone works at different levels on this forum, and just because someone is not as good as you, doesn't mean it is fair to bite him. That's way to drastic what you are saying, and you have probably scared him off. I know I would be if I received comments like that. That's now what this forum is like, we are kind people here.
Yes, the image he made may be rather simple, and it is just 1 effect used, but that is still not an excuse to flame him.

Let me get this straight. You are wanting to be able to have a selected box which you can move around and then choose so you can print your photo out?
If soo...
- [*:1ouhv5to] Open up rectangle select tool
[*:1ouhv5to] Where it says selection mode, and normal, click on normal twice so it says "Fixed Size"
[*:1ouhv5to] Set it to pixels, or inches, and type in your wanted size.
[*:1ouhv5to] Now, switch tools to Move Selection tool.
[*:1ouhv5to] Move around the selection for what you want the photo to be
[*:1ouhv5to] Once you have it in a good place, press CTRL+Shift+X :Crop:
[*:1ouhv5to] Save it, and print
- [*:1ouhv5to] Open up rectangle select tool

Okay. You know what I've read the rules about a billion times and people are still telling me to read them? How many times do I have to read them? Don't bother answering that question Because I'm getting otta here and never coming back
Good for you. Because leaving is such a good idea.

Hi KitKat!
Don't be alarmed and beat yourself up, I was not sure what a render was at first either
A render is basically an image that has a transparent background, so that you paste it into your project on a new layer and get working.
An example of a render is this: http://planetrenders.net/renders/displa ... pos=-13620 You will have to make an account on there website in order to download their renders.

End of the day it doesn't really matter, long as you can post images.
Here, put this into your signature:
Anyway. It is not bad for a beginner. It looks a bit low quality though...Try saving it as .PNG next time.
