CoD4? Tom Clancy? I'm not trying to associate it with games, the novels are about real life, life in the army, its supposed to be a novel series. Here's a bit cut from 'Sarge!'
Things happen Sarge, just put it all behind ya..." "Behind me?! I got demoted because everyone of the Squadmates I'd been paired up has died!" "They said they were demoting me because I was too, 'self centered!'" "Listen man... Things happen, you can't just..." "Just can't what?" Our voices were drowned out by the trucks's loud engine. Can't believe it... Got demoted because everybody kept dyin'. Everybody's gotta die... It's just a matter of time...
"Hey! Sarge!" Their voices taunted me, mocked me, emphasizing on Sarge.... It was an old squad mate that shouted it out, one of the few that had gotten a transfer out of my squad, formally nicknamed, The Suicide Wagon. Squad TSW, hell, I didn't argue, I thought the men who didn't ask for a transfer immediately out of the squad were brave men. But there was only 1 man who didn't ask for a transfer... Vigil, he was dead now, but, hell he was a good man. "WHY?!" I shouted out and burst into tears, I was cursed with the touch of death. "Hey Sarge, what happened to the tough old Captain?" everybody else burst into laughter, I sat there, tears streaming through my palms. The leader of the squad, Lieutenant Johnson, burst into the truck. "Who the hell's cryin' like a 'lil girl?!" "The Sarge!" Another burst of laughter came from the soldiers in the truck. "What the hell you cryin' bout Sarge? No one gives a sh*t about your life, you're no worth to me dead, you're all going to be dead, no argument.
I calmed down, wiped my eyes, and muttered under my breath, "If I die, you're all probably gonna die too" That gave me a little chuckle. "WHAT?!" One of the soldiers had heard me. As said before, I was famous of coming out the only one alive. "'Tinate, that guys CRAZY!" "Huh?" I said, he must have mis heard me, maybe though that I was going to kill them all. Get ready for Private! I taunted myself. Trust me, life in the army is brutal, you don't make a lot of friends, not 'cause you can't, but because you don't. People keep dyin', people keep on tellin' ya it's over, you don't wanna come outta the war heart broken... That's just how things rolled here.

I wasn't a big fan of the "Splatter" plugin, it didn't really look "Splattery," instead, it looked more like circles connected to thick lines.

Anyways, in the new version, will you be able to turn the image up, or down in the new version, also, will you be able to, set the brushes to an alpha transparency without altering the brush image? I would love to see that the view from the drawing form on empty layers isn't just plain.

AA the heart a bit, and make the pillars more individual, maybe different textures on them?

Oh, my mistake. It took me some time to make them not look, "One ended" I didn't want to use gaussian blur again, since I use that for everything :?

Might kind of old now, but, I made these in my spare time. Have fun with 'em. You'll have to color them in yourself, sorry.
I did some of them with the "Julia" Fractal renderer.
Making these are pretty easy, draw a basic circle, use the pencil tool and make it have "Sharp" sides, don't make it perfectly though, they won't be noticed, then, do Gaussian blur, and you're done.

Just use them at size 15-10 and it won't be noticed.EG:

I was making some custom brushes for blood for the custom brush plug in, I was also trying out layer opacity and the cloud renderer, and this is the result.

Yes, yes yes!!!! Finnaly, custom brushes! It's been so long... Photoshop will soon stand in the shadow of Paint.Net!
Also, does anyone have more custom brushes for this?

I dunno what it is, whatever it is, I think it's sort of ugly, I'll be working on this project, turn 2 buildings, a streetlamb, and a few transparent pixel people, into a sort of "Dead" City feeling.

Gomeriffic, not to offend you or anything, but you're going to have to move on from those wings... I mean, it doesn't seem like you're doing much, except putting an object inbetween them, and the wings look like they're from this font anyways...http://www.dafont.com/font.php?file=el_ ... asst=alpha

I gave it transparency, maybe you could AA the sides, and give it a bulge in the bright spot?

This is Just an image that I threw together, yet it is probably my favorite from my "collection".

Nice use of shape 3d, I can see how easy (Unless that offends you) and simple it is to make this thing, The earth is from one of the tut's here isn't it? And the water is one of the plugins availible here, other wise, even though its a little simple, it's pretty cool.
Edit: You should A-A the planets sides, they look a bit pixelated.

Transparency was overdue a long time ago
