  1. Yes, you can! I use the black arrow tool. Here's how. 1. Your canvas needs to be slightly bigger than your picture otherwise it will end up getting cropped. So you can open your pic, see the canvas size and then open a new canvas of a larger size. Then copy and paste your pic into the new canvas. 2. Now, use your magic wand to select the area outside the pic. Then invert your selection so that just your pic is seleceted. 3. Now click on the black arrow (next to the rectangle select tool) and you will see tiny circles appear at the corners of your picture. Right click on those circles and you'll be able to tilt and rotate your pic however much or as little as you need. Then you can crop as needed. Hope this helps!
  2. Yup, that's how I make mine! 1. I selected photos that featured my daughter's profiles. 2. Then I erased everything from the photos that I didnt want in the silhouette. 3. I changed the picture to b&w then lowered the contrast and the brightness down all the way to the left. They were practically black. 4. Then I used the Magic Wand to select the shape of the silhouette and painted them completely black. 5. Next I feathered the edges to smooth the image out. Finished silhouette:
  3. Im actually a newbie on here, but Im seasoned over on my mom's forum, CafeMom. We have a group there with tutorials and such. I just go through the list and do each one. Who cares what it looks like, the point is that you understand what you are doing. Once you've learned a few and you feel more confident, try making something all by yourself, like a collage or a siggy. It's all pretty much like a recipe.... adding pictures and text and effects. How much or how little is up to you.
  4. Thank you! Im trying to make an animated siggy using pictures, but they fuzzed out. So now I think I need a new animation software... one that doesnt require gif images. Thanks again for your answer!
  5. I created a tutorial on CafeMom for making silhouettes.... maybe it will help you too. Obviously, you wont want yours black, but you can paint it whatever color you want to or play with the transparency of the file image so its suitable for a background image. Hope this helps! http://www.cafemom.com/group/14125/boards/read.php?post_id=986995
  6. I wrote a tutorial for my CafeMom group. Perhaps it will help you understand the Clone Stamp tool better. http://www.cafemom.com/group/14125/boards/read.php?post_id=1166271
  7. I dont know why, but when I save an image as a .gif file, it ends up looking fuzzy. Whats the deal?? Anyone know? Here is an example: Picture saved as a jpg: Picture saved as a .gif:
