  1. Woah, haven't been on here in ages. Good job on the pics guys :D all the ones on this page(only one I've checked) look mad.

I haven't really used PDN lately, but was on the other day just messing round with some old effects...

    Jogger.png

Made ages ago, with the Phoenix tut.

    WeirdCircles.png

Made this with the Arrow render tool and some radial blurs, negation etc. It became my Wallpaper, still is :D

    FinnMulticolour.png

CJ's Andy Warhol Style Tut, using my dog Finn as the subject. Came out great.

    FirePatches.png

This was just weird :P But I liked it. Couldn't think of anything else to do to it though.

Hope you like them, comments, tips, and all appreciated :D

  2. Would it be possible to make a new offshoot in the Effects Menu, perhaps called "Filters"

Then we can chuck in Pencil Sketch, Oil Painting, Portrait etc. I say this because my Effects Menu is filled to the brim with plugins that I've downloaded, and I'm not even an intense user like some people here who must surely have even more than I.

It could make things easier :D just a thought.

  3. Nah nah nah he's done all that.

All it is, is after you change the secondary colour to Transparent, you have to leave it on secondary, or swap the colours around. See how Green is the main colour atm? Click the double arrows to put Transparent as primary or click the drop down menu that says Primary.

(Both options are in the colours palette)

  4. Actually, Forumer doesn't allow any of that. They're very strict about forum customization. If we had a Simple Machines forum on Rick Brewster's server we would be able do anything and have a more efficient and safer forum (and shorter URLs) *hint* *hint*

I think I've stated this before, but one of the big reasons I don't have the forum on my own server (e.g. http://forum.getpaint.net/ or http://www.getpaint.net/forum ) is because I don't have the time to do the full server administration (nor any experience at it). For example: installing and securing the forum software, installing patches for the forum software, etc. So while I do lose out on some other perks (full customization, advertising revenue), I am able to go to sleep at night without having to worry that I missed some security patch that let someone go in and hack your account or something.

Also, transferring the forum is not as simple a matter as you might think. All the users that have signed up for this forum have accepted Forumer's terms-of-service, and it may not be acceptable for me to just migrate their account without their permission.

Gotta give it to the guy he thinks stuff through doesn't he?

    Good job Rick ;D
