Great info... I have a fair amount of apps on my system, so any ideas on how to dig in to find these hooks? Are they hooking video functions? Kboard? Some items I have: Windows One Care Symantec Client Security Daemon Tools sometimes Screenshot Captor Symantec AntiVirus Microsoft AntiSpyware Some of them can't be removed (IT policy!), but I'd be glad to tear into anything else i can find. With all of the protection I have, I'm going to hope that there is no spy/malware I'm richardtgoodwin on YahooIM if you want to try to troubleshoot that way as well. For what it's worth, consider this a "bump" to the "editable text" feature request I use P.N fairly frequently, and am by no means a professional designer, and that is one piece of functionality I think us "newbs" expect to work out of the box.
