Paint.NET is blocking while acquiring an image

Hello,

thanks for the nice program!

But I've an issue anyway. While acquiring an image its a pity that I've to wait until the scan is complete before I can modify the last scanned image. Usually I'm scanning a lot of images and I use Paint.NET. It would be nice that I can use same instance of Paint.NET to modify the last scanned image while scanning a new image.
