TooManyBugs Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) I used to love paint.net... and then it just got worse and worse. Now the updates don't even install without vague 0-info errors: > Fatal error during installation. Absolute no other info is given. Ugh. Edited March 7 by TooManyBugs Quote

The paint.net user base is huge and the consensus seems to be that it is getting better and better with every new release. 9 minutes ago, TooManyBugs said: Now the updates don't even install without vague 0-info errors: > Fatal error during installation. Absolute no other info is given. What version of Windows are you using? What version of paint.net are you upgrading from/to? Or is this a brand new installation of the current 5.0.13 version? Please post a screenshot showing the error message. Nothing can be done to help you without some basic information first. Quote
Zedhed Posted September 17 Posted September 17 (edited) I'm having this same problem... Is there a way around this. I'm on a company computer with windows 11 so partly limited to setting changes on the actual pc. Had Paint.net installed and used daily until I tried to reinstall it. Even donated via paypal at the beginning... on a different computer. Edited September 17 by Zedhed More information Quote
Ego Eram Reputo Posted September 18 Posted September 18 1603 indicates you have an existing paint.net installation that has become broken. Please use this utility to remove the broken installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed Afterwards, you should be able to install paint.net anew.
