I'm currently stuck in the 'not responding' page and I have cleared some memory off. However, it is still stuck and the same page. What can I do? There are no auto-save files or any other means of recovery from a crash or a not-responding hang in paint.net. Your work is lost unless you did periodic saves to a .pdn files part way though, which is something that is always worth doing if you have a large/complicated/time consuming project. 30 layers is OK.
