AnneYusual
My guess (I haven't used PowerPoint since around 2002, so it MAY have improved since then - though I wouldn't hold my breath) is that it's PowerPoint that doesn't support transparency, at least not in .png format. If you still have the classic Windows Paint installed, it will do the same thing if you open a .png with transparent background. If you are wondering, the background is STILL transparent, if you open it in something that supports transparency. In the case of Classic Paint, that's only going to be the case if you don't save the file while you have it open - that will overwrite the transparency with white. Tactilis
PowerPoint does support transparency. Here's an image with transparency in Paint.NET. I saved the image as a PNG. And here's the same PNG on a Powerpoint slide. 8 hours ago, Rroderick311 said: I save as a png from paint.Net. I re open in PowerPoint and the white background is back. Why?? I'm guessing that you are not actually creating transparent areas. Impossible to say why without seeing your image file.
