How about allowing the user to edit another image while one renders in the background?

I just realized that you cannot work on a second image while waiting for one to render an effect. 

It wouldn't help in most use cases but it would be a nice quality of life addition.

 

Maybe adding the option to limit CPU usage or set the background process priority.
