  1. HI Iron, thank you... What is important to me is opening psd/ai/eps files and working with the different layers(?) in that, to then save it as ie. jpg. Thx a million Dan
  2. Hi, I love PN, but am no master just use it to optimze and slightly(!) change images for my websites... Now, I wonder... I understand that psd or eps files contain layers, so it would help to adopt images I download from ie. bigstocki8mages, so I can for example copy just a single part of the whole image and change it or use only that etc.. move parts/layers easily or easily remove background, since that is only a layer...thats how I understand psd(ai files...that they contain all the data so I can more easily edit or change them, while as a png or jpg I can only do so much (ie. use the magic wand to eradicate the background, which is tedious work still and only works so well) So, am I correct that ai/psd files are more suited to create what I want and is tzhere a way I can really work with these files?? Thx a lot Dan
  3. HI, found a way but it makes no sense to me...when I mark the "empty" space and press Delete, it is "normal" space afterwards?? why?? Thx Dan

I have an icon I want to add text and another icon to... so I incresed the canvas size the existing icon has a stronger checkered background than the "new area... and: I cannot do (except for pasting another image) anything with the weakly checkered area?? do I need to add transparent background first for the new area? how do I do that?? Thxc Dan
