    Many thanks for the answer, that does exactly what i need it to do, however it appears to be moving the image by a far larger amount that pixels which makes me think its adjusting it by inches. Is this the case and if so is there a way to change this?

    Is there a way that i can move a selection by an increment of a pixel? ideally around the 0.000X or 0.00X mark. Or am i being too ambitious? Cheers, Bez
