The green one is the original I was trying to adjust. The pink one is the green one shrunk down. The handles you see are from the green one. I dragged the green one's handle to shrink it. The pink/brown one is the actually the green one shrunk. They are both on the same layer as they are both the same object. Here's a new question: If I have a rectangle that I would like to shrink, what are the steps?

I can insert text and I understand layers. I am wondering if I can change color, font, size later. For example, can I select existing text later and change its font? Or do I have to recreate the text on a new layer in the new font?

Looking at the above image as an example: I created the green rounded rectangle, then decided I would like it to be shorter I selected the green rounded rectangle I then dragged it down to the correct size displayed in pink and brown (I realize that in this instance the brown off the image, but I cannot make this work in the center of an image either) How do I say "OK"? How do I set the pink and brown sized shape and delete the larger green one? second question: How do I select type? Can I change font, size, or color without actually recreating the text? Thanks from a newbie
