Okay, I remember doing this quite a lot before in the past, but it's been a while since I've last used paint that I have since forgotten. Anyways, what I did was have a layer (usually some kind of pattern,etc) as the first layer. On a separate layer I would have a shape (in this example let's use a square). What I remember doing was using some shortcut command that, when the top layer is selected, would clip over the layer beneath it. End result is the square but with the pattern on it.
If it helps, a little arrow symbol of sorts appears between the layers as a 'linking'.
I just wanted to know what is the shortcut command of making those clipping masks?
