    Hello, I am new to this program and have a question about keeping the pasted image background transparent. The image I have is from wikimedia commons (is png format) and shows a checkered background so I am assuming that its background is transparent. When I paste it onto an existing image, it shows up with a white background. How do I keep the pasted on image's background transparent? Thank you in advance.
