  1. I do not know why I cannot upload an image or make a link to it in this webpage. The image I want to imitate is at http:\\adasafehouse.webs.com\PowerpointLettersEnhanced.gif Drop Shadow works well but Bedvel Selection bevels the entire image (bevels it beautifully, but the whole image not the elements).
  2. I have a GIF image file (single colour on transparent) I would like to match to this PowerPoint text. There is a slight embossing with a hint of highlight, plus the shadow effect. Has any kind soul devised plugins to achieve this? Thanks
  3. EOEffects.dll is the library alright and it goes in C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects. So far, so good ... but ... These images come in series - 48 to a set in this animation. The shear action to give the isometric effect must be constant, and preferably with some sort of setting mechanism to guarantee that. Otherwise each frame has a card with a different shape ... At present, I have to create the images in Paint.NET as GIF files, skew them in MSPaint as BMP files, then reconvert them to GIF files in Paint.NET. It works, but it's a bit of a drag. I'd be delighted to find that there is a plug-in for Paint.NET that handles the job in house.
  4. What I really need, I guess, is the equivalent of Stretch/Skew in MSPaint. I think that is what you were getting at. I did a search in Paint.NET for "Quadrilateral Reshape" and found "EOEffects.dll". 'Scuse this dummy, but (1) where do I file it, and (2) where does it show up in Paint.NET? Thanks
  5. I am in the process of doing an animation for a PPT presentation. I have several series of images like the one attached which represents a card with some holes in it flat (if you like) on the desktop. I'd like to rotate the image 30 degrees about its vertical axis giving the (isometric) impression that it faces to the right (or left). Is there a functionality in Paint.NET which can achieve this? Thanks
  6. Thanks folks. It's just occurred to me how I can do multiple insertionns which was the major stumbling block. I'll get the hang of PDN in a while. Cheers
  7. I take that to say that there is no select-and-move-with-transparent-background functionality in Paint.NET. I can see how my objective could be achieved with layers but it is fairly labour intensive. Should I register a suggestion for this functionality?
  8. I have for many years produced diagrams using MS Paint. Frequently, the process has involved drawing one item in isolation then selecting it and moving it into position on the final image. This involves selecting the new item and moving it onto the main one with a transparent background so as not to create a bare space in the main image. How can I achieve this effect in Paint.NET?
  9. Great! Thanks, and thanks also to the team who write this package. You do a wonderful job.
  10. I use p.N to prepare graphics for webpages, usually using the transparency feature of the GIF format. It would save me a lot of time if the Magic Wand selected all of the same colour including, for example, the space contained in the eye of an 'e'. Then I could set all the background to transparent with one keystroke. I'm slack and lazy, I know, but it would help me a lot. Thanks
  11. I am using pN-3.5.4 When I click File -> New I have to set the size of the new canvas each time. Have I missed something? Is there a way to set a default canvas size?
  12. I actually thought I had downloaded the latest ones. Maybe Kris posted these in the past couple of days. Okay. Thanks
  13. I have Paint.net 3.5.2. Every time I start it up it pops a dialog advising me of updates. 'Yes' directs me to Kris Vandermotten's site. I already have those plug-ins. 'No' locks up the program completely - the only way out is kill it (using Task Manager) and start again, with the same outcome. How can I stop that?
  14. It is the "making" part I need to learn from this forum  . The scripting part is a separate issue. I am only asking because all the button tutorials I have seen deal with round buttons. They's look a bit odd in a vertical stack in a sidebar.
  15. Thanks for the response theonlychad, but I don't think you have the concept. Go to http://www.google.com.au/ and look at the two buttons 'Google search' and 'I'm feeling lucky'. They appear 'raised' on the screen and they 'depress' when you click on them. That's the functionality I am seeking, but a slightly more upmarket appearance would not go amiss. It's not that I am justlooking for a gimme, but if I can learn how to make these buttons I'll have a really good insight into how to do other things I want to do. Thanks
  16. I have been looking around in turotials but I must have missed this one. I am after a tut that shows how to create a dynamic-sized rectangular browser button. I am looking for something with a 'raised' appearance with the ability to have corresponding images for 'mouse-over' and 'clicked'.
