  1. I have a Vista X86 64-bit (2 months old). I'm fairly computer-challenged. I don't know what .NET Framework means or where to find it on my computer. When I look in System Information, under Operating System it says my Service Pack is Service Pack1. When I look under Programs, one says "MSXML 4.0 SP2". This post topic is my problem also. I went to Microsoft downloads and all the ones that apply to Vista x86 tell me: "None of the products are installed on this computer." or "This update does not apply to your system." When I read what was done above, in this post, it's like reading Greek. If someone could give me step-by-step instructions on restoring my paint.net I would be eternally grateful! I was going to uninstall paint.net and reinstall it to see if that would work, but I can't even remove it. I get a box saying "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." Is that a Windows problem, or a paint.net problem? I desperately need my paint.net! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
