I apologize. I'm a moron. I had to resize the layer. For some reason I seemed to subconsciously believe that the create layers were the same size as the initial layer and therefore the text should show. I resized all of the layers to the size of the first layer and voila...it works.

I couldn't find an answer to this using search so forgive me if it's answered elsewhere in the forums. I am brand new (about 10 minutes in) to paint.net and I am having a text problem. I am working on an image with three layers. I tried putting text onto 2 different layers and it won't appear. I set both primary and secondary colors to black just to be certain that the text should be black. The cursor moves when I type but I cannot see any text. Can't even highlight it to see if the text is phsyically there but can't be seen on the pure white background. Any hints? Much appreciated.
