Thank you. Plugged in the tablet and it works fine with the tablet. Is there any easy way for me to get it to work without the tablet? I'm somewhat computer literate but not an expert. again, thank you Beth

This machine is capable of dual monitors. But no other monitor is connected to it now.

Thank you for your reply. To make sure no pixel is selected, I've clicked Edit/select all/deselect to make sure nothing is selected. The shape tools and the brush will not draw. I've tried all the setting in Selection Mode. No help. The pencil will draw as shown in the screen shot. On a photo, the clone tool, text tool, etc. work fine.

Uninstalled and re=-installed. Shape tools still won't draw. Now the brush tool won't draw. It did before I uninstalled. I'm using Vista which is updated and Paint.Net has no new updates.

The tools don't draw. The program does not crash. I have a tablet but it is not attached to either computer. I thought I would uninstall and reinstall Paint.Net. Plan to do that today. Thank you for asking.

I installed Paint.Net on a laptop with Vista. The shape tools don't work. Everything else seems to be ok. Any ideas on how to fix this. I've gone to Help and search without finding the answer. Bkemmerrer
