Man, your talented! I hope you get a gallery I seen your sword its da bomb! Keep up the good work, I couldn't make that good of a sword with almost a year of experience in PDN and your EGG is awesome too! BTW: This is a pretty cool tut, Have to try it some time.

Wow, this is a great tut, its a lot of work so I'll try it when I have more time on my hands, but its spectacular! I've always wanted to know how to make glossies. Good job HELEN!!
-
I would usually point out that you shouldn't make a tutorial within your first 5 posts, but this is awesome! You might want to resize the screenshots though, so they load quicker, nice outcome, I'd try it now, but Its late and I have to go soon. But this is great! Keep up the good work

It has come to my attention that this is the "photoshop fractalius plugin."
The splintered twist, wave, and inside effects /are/ close, but they aren't quite the same.
Would anyone who has photoshop be willing to see if they couldn' transfer the plugin in some way to PDN?
Yeah, that would be a cool plugin, I'd download it, but I don't know if its possible.. but I hope so

Have you tried downloading a different set of brushes just to double check ?
No, but I'll try and tell you what happens.

But it doesn't say its ZIPed..

@ panzeriv2 ... things can get mis-understood easier on message boards; no tone of voice etc to judge by ... I guess I didn't explain myself properly either, with Ingerlish not being my 1st language.
The instructions of real wood tones still apply if used with drakaan's tut CLICK and realistic wood can be achieved for most things. Like life, this tut all depends how much effort you put in ... to get the best results.
Any problems send me a PM

I will try that AP, Thanks, Will post if it works when I'm done.. this could take awhile

Don`t forget that they will have to be converted to PNG files if they are PS brushes. For that you need the abrViewer -
http://abrviewer.sourceforge.net/
And if you need some help this should sort you out -
Enjoy!
I can't download the first link:

How do you download Custom Brushes to the Custom Brushes onto the Paint.net Custom Brushes? I want to download a certain one and I do not know how.. I might be missing a tut or something, but I really want to know..

Could not load type 'Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.SmartEffect' from assembly 'Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
Like I said in my original post:
Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.dll: You allways need this dll. It includes the framework used by the other dll's.So how do I get that dll?
-
I downloaded it right, but there is an error:
1 of 1
--------------
File: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.Blurs.dll
Effect Name: Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.SmartEffect
Full error message: System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.SmartEffect' from assembly 'Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
