I hope, that's a temporary problem, it will be fixed in the future version. You could take another tool, e.g. GIMP with UWRaw-Plugin - I find it good for freeware, or IrfanView, whereas here you don't have a possibility to play with the settings.As Not-Freeware you can take Adobe Photoshop Elements (trial version for 30 days could be downloaded from the http://www.adobe.com)

Just the same (s. attachment) Possibly it depends from file's size. I have a problem with CR2 - Files from my new Canon EOS 450D (file size app. 14 Mb). The older files, which are not so large (under 10 Mb), can be opened/proceeded without this problem.
