  1. Ah, not, "fade edge" is not what I want. My edge is mid-image. In fact it's an older image, canvas resized to 1920x1200 and I need to fade out the edge that became present now; some white/grey tints need to be blurred.
  2. I didn't know that meaning of cough either (to me it usually denotes someone making a remark not to be taken seriously, or that someone has a cold). Anyhow, I think the multilayer approach is quite unpractical; maybe you need to do it a few times, but I simple want a "edge fader". However, I do understand the uforia about the workaround, because it makes stuff possible that are missed severly, but... personally... well... When is 4.0 due? :wink: Tom PS: what is 'the other free paint tool'? You can PM me
  3. I know I can apply an effect, like blur or darken, using a selection (e.g. rectangle). Is it also possible to apply effects using a brush? I would like to fade an edge.
