I am having no luck with this. I can get my subject pic. up and layer and outline the face. but can not remove the face to store and place on the new picture. Mayby i'm missing an obvious step that old timers think everybody knows. Is there another thread that might show a differant perspective or mayby this old dog just can't grasp this new trick.

I thank you for the reply. I guess I can see no other way that my subject could be misconstrued. I followed the link and probably will be able to remove the head from the picture of my subject but,How do I paste it on the body of my subject in the desired picture. I am a grandfather of a 1 year old and received an email of a baby in a wagon with a firemans hat on.(My son is a fireman) I want to put my grandsons head on that picture. This is turning into a major project.

I'm a newbe. Is it possible to use Paint.net to transfer a childs head from one picture and put it on a body in another picture? I have searched the help files and find no referance to it. Thanks in advance for any help.
