  1. Hi all, I am exhausted, I have just spent a long time trying to figure this out with every program from Gimp to paintshop pro (trial version). It should be simple but I don't have a clue. Basically I want to protect a logo I have paid to have created. Now I know there is technically probably no way to protect it 100% but all I want to be able to do is stop the average person from right clicking it and saving it, without disabling right click altogether. I have been told the simplist way to do this is to place a transparent gif over the top so that when some tries to save it they will get the transparent gif instead. Is this right? And if so, how do I do I have spent ages trying to figure this out. I have searched this forum and am sure the answer must be hear somewhere but can't seem to find it. can someone point me in the right direction, even if it is just to a tutorial that will tell me how to do this.
  2. Thanks for that Curmudgeon, I will play around with it and read up on it some more. Hopefully this will do the trick. Thanks a million.
  3. I was so excited when I found this post after doing a search, because I am having a similar problem and have been trying to sort it out for about a week. Tanel's Sharpen+ plugin sounds like just what I needed. However, I have downloaded it and extracted it but it is a dll file and it won't open. It says I need to know what program created it. Am I doing something wrong? I know I am probably doing something very basic wrong, but can't figure it out I have not had this problem opening a file before, but then again I guess I probably don't open a lot of dll files. please help?
  4. Hi Wither and Miguel, Thanks for the replies they were both very useful and should help me solve the problem. p.s. Miguel as I mentioned, I did do a search, but couldn't find the answer, it's not easy when you join a new forum, you try to find where to look but sometimes get it wrong even when you do a search - whereas forums I am used to I can search and find the answer straight away - its the value of being a veteran in those forums. . Anyway just wanted to reiterate that I do always search before I ask, as I previously mentioned.
  5. Hello all, This is my first post, so hello to everyone. I am new to Paint.net but need to get familiar with it quickly so will be looking through the tutorials with earnest. I have had a quick search in the forum and can't find the answer I am looking for so I thought I would go ahead and ask. A Graphic designer has designed a logo for me and he has used two fonts that I don't think come as standard with paint.net they are called Juergen (true type) and Trajan Pro - Bold (open type). I have done a quick google search for Juergen and it appears to be available as some sort of download. O.K. my question. Is it possible to download fonts such as the ones mentioned above so that I can use them with paint.net because in future I need to be able to edit these logo's and change the words. I have found similar fonts in paint.net but I would prefer to use the actual ones - if possible. If it is possible, how do I do it? last question - promise! Is the best editable format to use with paint.net for things like logos and headers for websites - PNG. The reason I ask is because I need to know the best format for my graphic designer to send me the finished images in. Thanks in advance.
