  1. I've upgraded to Paint.net 3.10 and I've run into a bit of a problem. I was previously running version 3.08, and I had set the program to be my default editor for GIF files as well as JPGs and so forth. Used it like that for quite awhile and it worked very well, but since I installed 3.10 a few minutes ago, when I right-click a GIF image and select "edit," Paint.net loads but gives me an error reading "The image type is not recognized, and cannot be opened." I can start Paint.net and then open the image manually and it loads fine, and I can right-click the image in Windows Explorer, use the "Open with" option and select Paint.net and it also loads up fine - just not through the edit command. Is there some way to fix this? Thanks. * Bit of an update: I've found that if Paint.net is running and I use the "Edit" option on a GIF file in Windows Explorer, Paint.net loads it up right away. The problem only occurs if Paint.net isn't running when I attempt to edit the image. Curiouser and curiouser.
