January but it was restored once since then in May

1. Run a virus and trojan check

Just did it... nothing

2. Clean out all adware

Im not very computer lingo... whats this?

3. Remove programs from the taskbar that you don't use, or at least close them.

None that are on there

4. Remove old programs you no longer use (add/remove programs app)

5. Remove everything from your desktop, unless you use it all the time

6. Clean up the start menue (remove stuff you don't use)

Ok, Check

7. Delete your .temp files (in the Temp folder C:\WINDOWS\Temp)

8. Run disk defragmentor. (do it overnight since it will take awhile)

How do I do this?

9. Periodically restart your comp (every few days or after program installs)

Just tired again... worked fine untill I went to save something.... then froze and not responded.

Recently my Paint.net has been vVERY slow and not repsonding after opening multiple pictures. When I go to take a screen cap of my computer screen (then paste it into paint.net) it will not respond upon saving.

Its HIGHLY annoying cause I can't get anything done. Someone please help or let me know what I need to do to fix this.

make a new layer, draw the rounded rectangle, while still on that layer click outside the rectangle, press [ctrl]+[ i ], then press [ctrl]+[shift]+[x], then delete the second layer

its a lot easier than it sounds

Its not working?! I cant get the invert thing working.... I have to hold [ctrl]+[shift]+ then it makes the rounded the rectangle white (which was black) nothing happens when i just do [ctrl]+[ i ]

It sounds really easy but I just wish I could understand how to invert, it was a big problem on another tortuial and I never got how to do it.

Ok, I know you can draw a Rounded Rectangle but I want to be able to cutout a picture with it. Like you can do with the regular rectangle and the circle. Is there a way?

I'm not sure I'm the best to help you, but nice job on the specific topic title! Where'd you learn to do that? :wink:

Anyway, the Overlaying would be rather monotonous cutting out of pixels you don't want. The Text background would be some layering. And the blurring would be alpha masking and gaussian blurring.
