GIMPshop never worked for me... It always crashed just before loading... Ah well.
-
No we couldn't. The GIMP has a horrible interface which does nothing but slow your workflow and clutter up the start bar. 'Nuff said...

Pyro: Did I ever tell you that I love you?
...
Well, this is awkward. Thanks for a great plugin!
-
Thanks. I must admit, doing that was probably the first time I've really used PDN for a while now: I've had sort of a creative drain on for about six months - I haven't been able to make, draw or write anything - when I do have inspiration I'm at school or working, or I just can't be bothered, when I'm free, I can't do it for some reason.
-
Has it started yet? When can I post my piece?
.:EDIT:.
Actually, I can't wait for much longer: here it is...
http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs26/f/2008/180/2/e/My_PDN_Spacescape_Collab_piece_by_PhillipsJ2.png
It's waaay too large (2x), but I couldn't resize it down without ruining the landmass planet...

Hey, aatwo! Good to see you, though not "again", as I never saw you in the first place... I heard about you though. You used to do some good stuff!
-
It's 4:24 using GMT over here in England, and still no release. When you're good and ready, gentlemen...
-
Yes, that does look much better than the default one. Thanks for clearing that one up!
-
Do these changes have a significant effect on the outcome? Is the UI changed much? Can you upload "comparison" pictures of both yours and the default one?
-
What's this then? If there's much of a difference, could you upload a picture and explain the differences between yours and the default please?
-
Don't we have an edge detect already? Actually, stuff the rhetoric, we do. It's a default effect that comes with PdN. You can find it in the Stylize menu. Keep trying though - don't let me stop you!

pyro. This. Is. Beautiful. This must be the best artistic plugin I've ever used! I love the UI, and its interactivity, and its blistering speed! Now only two questions remain:
1) Undo key (Ctrl-Z)
2) Can I have your rabies?

It looks to me like it's a PS brush... I think that the easiest way to replicate it would be to do it pixel-by-pixel-by-pixel... Unless anyone's got any better ideas?
-
Hmm... From the aforementioned article:
GIMP is loaded with goodies for photo enhancement. It's easy to install, and its clean design makes navigation semi-easy on first time users.Wha'?!
-
I agree wholeheartedly, extra BBCode would be nice, but I would like to add one more to this list: Strikethrough.

I reckon this has been discussed to within inches of death. In my opinion, this should be closed and the just be implemented. Just my thoughts though, if anyone else has anything to say, speak now or forever hold your peace.

I think there was a forum error here... I don't like double posting, and I know that Bugster often has a lot to say, and posts quick enough to rival David, but three posts in the same minute! And, they had the same content in... So, I'm going for error.

I reckon that the "Pictorium Forium" is a good idea. It means that people can show off their creations without having to enter the roiling masses of n00b pen and bucket work. I am anti-elitist, but even I have to draw the line somewhere. It means that people who create genuinely good art (Ash, anyone?) can gain exposure for their images, on-site, without having their images washed away in the sea of n00b Clouds+Polar Inversions like so much beautifully carved flotsam and jetsam.

You learn something new every day... Like how I missed my 200th, 300th and now 400th post!

w00t! Advertisement! You all go and Digg it now! I know I have!

@ Pyro: Huzzah! Not only do I love the new sig, I also can't wait for the tutorial and the inevitable spree of Pyro-sigalikes! 10/10!

Well, all I have to say here is...
QFT!

@ Rick: Thanks for the clarification. I have posted an update to my review at the same address.

How's this:
website, Download.com[/url]":a355cjin]"THIS IS NOT PAINT.NET RIP OFF, THIS IS A NEW VERSION OF PAINT.NET WITH ADDED SOUND EFFECTS AND FEATURES... DO NOT LISTEN TO THE DUMMY WHO SAID PAINT.NET RIP OFF..."@ Ultra-Software: This is blatantly Paint.NET. The interface is the same, the tools are the same. Nothing is changed. Even the "ADDED SOUND EFFECT AND FEATURES" you cite are not created by Hardy: they are created by a hard-working group of volunteers who code plugins out of enjoyment, not because they are paid.

@ Bob: Eek! Don't these people, all thousand-and-seven of them read the reviews?

What about an Autosave setting? I can think of a lot of people for whom this would come in handy...
