  1. Looks Great! I see you are well on your way to mastering PDN, keep doing tutorials! And Welcome to the Forums! Glad my tut made you decide to join, and I hope you stick around. :D

One note, I'm not sure if you are supposed to upload images here, this rule was instituted while I was away, so I don't know if it applies to all forums. Here is a tutorial on how to upload them to an image hosting site: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6270

  2. Wow! I'm glad to see people are using and enjoying my tutorial! Everything so far looks absolutely amazing! (sorry I haven't been checking in as frequently as I should, I've been rather busy with school.)

  3. Sorry, I didn't notice where my picture went. How do I get rid of these white spots?

It looks like you forgot step 15) Curves: Luminosity.

    How to fix it:

If you still have the Paint.NET image with all the separate layers, you can go back and do that step on the white layer. If you do not have the Paint.NET image, I'm afraid the easiest way to fix it would be to redo the tutorial.

It looks like you have most of it right, just keep at it! :D

  4. @ KHKairi

    Very Nice Work!

    @ HellSpawn 142

Playing around is how you learn, and it still looks pretty cool. :D

    @ everyone else

I see lots of cool stuff, its nice to see people are learning from my tutorial! :D

  5. The best way to make all the the pixels of a certain color transparent is:

First set the tolerance slider to 0%, then hold down Shift and use the magic wand tool to click on a pixel of the same color as the ones you want to be transparent (in this case it sounds like the white ones on the top layer), this will select all the pixels on that layer that are that same color, you can than delete them, in effect making them fully transparent.

    Hope this helps. :D

  6. I'm not completely sure I understand the question, so if this is the wrong answer just let me know.

It sounds like you want to make all the the pixels of a certain color transparent. the best way to do that in PDN is to first select magic wand from the toolbar :MagicWandTool:, then set the tolerance slider to 0% then hold down Shift and click on a pixel of the same color as the ones you want to be transparent, this will select all the pixels in the image that are that same color, then press delete.

    Tolerance Slider:

    Hope this helps. :D

  7. The problem with creating a new forum just for that:

    - Threads would have "Check out this image!" and not have enough content to spark a good amount of conversation.

    - Adds to forum length.

    - Would be very chaotic to handle, refer to reason #1.

I do like the idea and I've thought of it myself:

    - People would get deserved critiques.

    - Possibly more attention.

    - The rest of the reasons you stated...

But unless someone creates a brilliant idea that does not cause the first reason, then I do not support it. A professional forum should have threads with a decent amount of content, not all the content slip up into a thousand pieces.

    @ Yata

Each user posts a thread with the title of there user name (eg. Ash) and posts there images in that thread, when they have a new image they just add it to their thread. Credit to Drakaan and Ash for the idea.

    @Mr Frojo and uH

I could be wrong, I have not considered any of my images worthy of putting on dA, in which case ignore the rest of this post.

The thing about dA is, from what I've seen, it seems to be a place for posting your polished images, but it does not seem like the right place to go if I am looking for PDN specific feedback about a mediocre image I made in PDN.
