  1. Now that trick is cool. That worked perfectly for my situation. I should have read the magic wand doc page all the way to the end. Thanks!!
  2. Hmm. I was worried you'd say that. The problem with the magic wand in this case is that the color I want to convert is not in one big blob, but instead a smattering of small islands separated by other things I don't want to change. Sounds like the only way to do what I want is to break down and click the magic wand on each one of these.
  3. I've been able to use the recolor tool pretty well for regular colors. But when I try to set an alpha value for the replacement color, it doesn't seem to take. Is it possible to replace a color with a transparent (or semi-transparent) color?
  4. I'd like to be able to create a selection and have it constrain the selection rectangle to a specific aspect ratio. I searched through the forum archive and noticed that this question has come up a couple of times before. The recommendation is to zoom in, create a selection rectangle of a small size in the desired aspect ratio, then resize that selection with the shift key to constrain the resize to keep the same ratio. This does work, but creating the initial selection at the correct aspect ratio can be kind of difficult when I'm trying to create something that's 3.5" x 2.25" or some other weird configuration. How about options for the selection tool that specify what aspect ratio to use when constraining? Would that be a hard thing to do?
