Thank you, I can indeed see how that would work, but it gets a bit of a faf if you have lots of layers in play. But thanks again, at least that is something to fall back on and is certainly more accurate than going totally freehand.

Hello everyone, I downloaded Paint a week ago and have been trying to get used to it, and although it seems a comprehensive and good quality programme, I am struggling with the Lasso tool. It seems that I can only lasso irregular shapes by holding down the mouse button, whereas I'd have much more control if I could make a series of clicks to connect straight lines. Do you know what I mean? Is Paint missing this feature so common on other image software, or am I an idiot? I have searched the menus hard, but I still can't find how to do it. Thanks in advance, Rick
