1. is there a way to hold the position of the clone stamp in one spot as I clone the areas of my image the clone stamp moves around. 2. is it possible to change the brush style when using clone stamp? How did they select that whole area to be cloned, when I use the cloning tool I am able to just clone by the size of the dot, it looks like they used some sort of outlining tool to select a area to be loned Dan

You can duplicate one area from an image into another area of the same image, check under help tab from within Paint.net it has a pretty good explantation of how to use this feature. hope this helps Dan

Does any one know how to get this silhouette effect, I got this image from a website, I would like to do this effect on some of my images and use them as backgrounds, but I am not sure how to get this desired effect from a photogragh. I ddi not see any Tutorials on this. Cheers Dan

I think I just ansewred my own question, it seems if I select Transparency-Alpha from 255 down to 0 it makes the line transparent, I hope this is the rightway, anyway it seems to work Cheers Dan

Question, I am having difficulty removing background from image, i am using combination of Magic wand and eraser to remove unwanted backgroundsand make transparent, however I am noticing that the edges of my remaining image are jagged and not very smooth. I used the Guasian blur and feathering tool tool smoth out the edges but I find the image looses the edge detail and does not look defined, is their another method of smoothing out edges, perhaps a plugin or an alternate method of removing background that does not produce uneven edges? any help would be appreciated Thanks Dan

Question, I am trying to make a background transparent, I know how to strip the background out using the Magic wand and eraser tool, however my saved jpg image shows up in Dreamweaver and most image viewers as having a white background, even though in Paint.net it shows as transparent background. Am I not saving the file correctly, my understanding of transparent background is that the background should not have any color visable at all and the color of the page should show through.Here is the image, when this is opened in a image viewer or opened in any HTML page it has a white background, the effect I would like is the image to have no background at all Thanks Dan

I have noticed when using the Magic Wand Tool to erase backgrounds that the resulting picture has jagged edges. Is there anyway to smooth the edging of the finished picture so that it does not look choppy? Thanks Dan
