First, sorry that I reanimated the old topic, I just used the search function. The FAQ explains the situation but it does not answer the question whether we can expect TWAIN support in the near future because this is what lots of users need.

I am sorry but this really deserves a bump. Will TWAIN be introduced? My scanner (Canon LIDE 20) is obviously not WIA compatible as I haven't found anything on the Canon website. Still, I'd love to use it with Paint.net.
