That's brilliant, exactly what I needed. Every time I tired to duplicate into a new image I lost resolution. This has now solved that for me. I'd actually never used the canvas size menu option before, so good to read up on how it works too!

If I have an image, let's say it is 100 x 100 pixels. How can I add whitespace above the image by say 50 pixels to make it 100 x 150. I just would like to know how to add whitespace above an existing image. I'm hoping in doing this, that I'll be maintaining my DPI.
