  1. I'm not really a photo editor. I know my way around paint.net but I don't use it regularly for work or hobby. Lately though, I've been finding myself having to convert png and jpg files to webp. I'd usually use a third party service like CloudConvert but it gets tedious when converting quite a few, and sometimes the file sizes are still way too big. I was wondering if I resized png images to a smaller size and then saved them as .webp through paint.net this would 'really' make it a .webp. I know sometimes just renaming a file extension doesn't actually make it that file type. Would this work? Thanks for the help
