  1. Thank you. I am going to install Autohotkey to automate these processes.
  2. Interesting option to lock a layer in Photoshop. I have never used it, sometimes I have used Gimp, until I discovered Paint.net and that's where I stayed. In a virtual class I open 6 .pdn files, with 2 layers each. So, before starting I have to click to select each file, and another click to select the transparent layer. In total, 12 mouse clicks. Additionally, I must take the file from size 35% to 100%, with the keyboard combination Ctrl +, pressing 3 times. A total of 36 actions to get everything ready. I clarify that all this is not a complaint. I have been doing it daily, for years, and I continue with Paint.net. I only proposed the favorite layer as a feature to incorporate in future updates. Thank you so much.
  3. I use Paint.net to teach virtual classes. I chose it because I had previously used it to create shapes and drawings with "ShapeMaker", and I incorporated its use for classes. I use a two layer .pnd file. The background layer is checkered and the foreground layer is transparent. That way, when writing on the transparent layer, if I erase what I wrote, the background grid is not erased because it is on another layer. But, when I open the .pnd file, the layer preselected by Paint.net is the background layer, and if I don't select the transparent layer before writing, I end up accidentally writing on the background layer, thus ruining the whole grid. Of course I have several of the same files for any contingency like that. For that reason it seemed interesting to me to have the option of a favorite layer.
  4. Hello, I would like in multi-layer .pdn files to be able to select a layer as a favorite so that, when opening the file, the preselected or active layer is the favorite. Thank you so much.
  5. Well, like magic, I resized the page, zoomed to 100%, and now everything works as usual. The text font looks perfect, when pasting a text it looks as it should and the fill tool detects the edges and paints the inside of the shape. I'm happy again!! Thank you so much.
  6. I use a 2150px by 3400px sheet, with a 50% zoom. Regarding the Paint Bucket tool, I've been messing with things in the settings to try to fix the sharpness, so I'm going to see what I have to change to get it working again. Thank you so much.
  7. Hello, in version 5.0.5 the quality and sharpness of the letter characters decreased. For example, when using the Calibri text font, it looks like Calibri light, it looks very thin and different from how it looks in other applications. Even if I paste into Paint.net an image that contains text, the text letters look very thin and discolored. Instead of black, they look greyish. I upgraded to 5.0.6, but still the same as 5.0.5. I also use a pen for a digital tablet and with the update the line looks finer. I had to increase the thickness of the stroke. Another problem that was added now is that the "Fill" tool instead of filling the interior of a shape with color, fills the entire page. That is, it does not even detect the black edges of a figure. Can I go back to earlier version? I use Paint.net daily, it is one of my favorite applications and I was very happy with it until the update. Thank you so much.
  8. Hello, when opening a .pdn file with multiple layers, the background layer is always selected by default (or as the active layer). Is there an option so that, when opening the .pdn file, the layer selected by the user is the active one? Thank you.
  9. That's it. I originally posted my comment in English (using a translator), but Google Chrome's translator did its job and translated everything back into Spanish.
  10. Hello, I would like Paint.net to have the following 8 options in your configuration: (1) Option to choose the default active layer when opening a file. Currently, the pre-established active layer is "background". On many occasions it happened to me that, when opening a file with several layers, instead of writing in the upper layer, I wrote in the background. (2) Option to open a file with a percentage of the default size on screen (100%, 50%, 33%, etc.). Currently, the file opens on a percentage such that it shows the full sheet. (3) Option to increase the size of the on-screen file, leaving the upper part of the file fixes, so that it does not come out of screen. Currently, by increasing the size of the screen of a file, the view is closer to the center of the file. (4) Option to hide / show the thumbnails of the on-screen files, through a drop-down menu, to have a larger screen. (5) Convert the next bar into a button with a drop-down menu to save space on the screen. (6) Option To convert the "Layers" window into a drop-down button on the toolbar. (7) Option to convert the "Colors" window into a vertical or horizontal coupling bar so that it occupies a fixed position on the screen. (8) Option for coupling the "Tools" window in a fixed position, with the additional option to convert it into a single column vertical bar, to fix it to the left or right of the screen. Thank you very much for considering any of these suggestions. Greetings!
