    Can anyone advise if paint.net is compatible with 2012 r2 ? I tried installing it with 'paint.net.4.0.9.install.exe /auto CHECKFORUPDATES=0' - a command that worked OK on Win7x64 clients however on 2012 R2 I got a message about installing .net 4.6.1 ( despite .net 4.6.2 already being installed ) . The installation appears to complete ( returns no error code) but there is no desktop icon and it does not show in the list of installed programs. Any advise from anyone ?
