  1. Btw - the photo is a stock photo I bought, so you should probably delete it from any filehosts, just so you don't get into any trouble See you all later!
  2. Thanks, will play around with that - I'm still learning the basics here
  3. Thanks everyone for your help! I learned a few new things here, and the website looks terrific now
  4. Thanks, that looks good. Will try that on the site.
  5. Guess I should have said mirroring I know it's not very well done, I tried to avoid too much symmetry. If I was entering a photo contest or something, it would clearly not be good enough - but when adding it to my website now, I think it's not that easy to spot, you kind of have to know it's there to see it I'd say. But still interested in opinions
  6. After applying seamless texture maker and smoothing about a bit manually with the paintbrush: http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/u495/pavlovmb/dachshsund-main-c_zpssrllrtbp.png I think we're getting there. Maybe I only notice it now because I've been working on the image for a while. Opinions anyone?
  7. Ok, so here is the image as it looks after I've spliced it together with no effects: http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/u495/pavlovmb/dachshsund-main_zps6w5tbkwe.png And here it is after applying median effect: http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/u495/pavlovmb/dachshsund-main-b_zpsn2sdggem.png Definitely an improvement, but of course I can't help notice the affected area.. but maybe that's just me. Any thoughts / ideas for improvement?
  8. Thanks! Good suggestion, I'll try that tomorrow if the attached one doesn't suffice (it's 4 am here, need some rest).
  9. I need the attached image for the main page of a website - the original image wasn't wide enough so I cut out a chunk, flipped it horizontally and spliced the two together - as you can see, there is a vertical line just around the 950px mark that I tried to blur out with some pixelation effect. I also tried blurring it and other effects, but no matter what I try I can't seem to make it almost invisible - it's still to visible when the image is at full size display. Any advice on what I should do? Edit: the full image was too big so I only uploaded the affected part. Thanks Martin
  10. Thank you Ego and Anthony for your suggestions - practicing now
  11. Hi, I'm a rookie and I'm trying to learn by making some really simple designs. I'd like to add a worn effect to something I'm working on now - but I'm not quite sure if I should be looking for an effect, a plugin or a custom brush. What I had in mind is to be able to add a worn look, like for example on this t-shirt: http://www.amazon.com/Juniors-Marvel-Captain-America-T-shirt/dp/B0044MOLU0/- Any ideas? Thanks Martin
  12. Thanks a lot guys. Will play around with your suggestions
  13. Hi. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I've just started using paint.net. How do you approach measuring distances, apart from using the ruler? Do you just measure by eye or is there any more exact approach? For example, if I want to combine to ellipses, like the attached example. This one I made by using the ruler to match the width but I adjusted the height by eye measure which of course isn't as precise. How do you approach stuff like this? Thanks Martin
