Guess I should have said mirroring I know it's not very well done, I tried to avoid too much symmetry. If I was entering a photo contest or something, it would clearly not be good enough - but when adding it to my website now, I think it's not that easy to spot, you kind of have to know it's there to see it I'd say. But still interested in opinions

Maybe I only notice it now because I've been working on the image for a while. Opinions anyone?

I need the attached image for the main page of a website - the original image wasn't wide enough so I cut out a chunk, flipped it horizontally and spliced the two together - as you can see, there is a vertical line just around the 950px mark that I tried to blur out with some pixelation effect. I also tried blurring it and other effects, but no matter what I try I can't seem to make it almost invisible - it's still to visible when the image is at full size display. Any advice on what I should do? Edit: the full image was too big so I only uploaded the affected part. Thanks Martin

Hi, I'm a rookie and I'm trying to learn by making some really simple designs. I'd like to add a worn effect to something I'm working on now - but I'm not quite sure if I should be looking for an effect, a plugin or a custom brush. Hi. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I've just started using paint.net. How do you approach measuring distances, apart from using the ruler? Do you just measure by eye or is there any more exact approach? For example, if I want to combine to ellipses, like the attached example. This one I made by using the ruler to match the width but I adjusted the height by eye measure which of course isn't as precise. How do you approach stuff like this? Thanks Martin
