background not transparent in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions Posted March 22, 2015 When I use the magic wand, select the white background and press backspace the background becomes black and not transparent. also when the colors are switched (white --> black / red --> blue) the background is becomes white and not like a checkerboard. the image is a .PNG
