This just started today on my computer. While trying to save files, it would give me an "Unexpected error" or "I/O error" when trying to save an image. After closing out of the program and trying to open the image I was trying to edit, the image became corrupted. I was able to download the image again, and tried this three times to the same effect. I even tried opening a blank image and saving that, only to get the same error message.
After googling, I found some old (about 3 years ago) posts with the same error messages, but they were from issues I wasn't dealing with (my image was 800 x 800, so the "large image" issues weren't the problem). I confirmed I was on the most updated version, 3.5.11. After googling around a bit more, I found the 4.0 Alpha and tried to install that to see if it would fix it. I still have the issue, but now I have a detail report on the error message. Could someone help me figure out what the problem is? Here's the full error message:
