About littlebigman

  1. Thank you.
  2. Hello, I'd like to use Paint.net to draw this type of graph: Is there an easier way than using the Line/Curve tool to try and draw a curve that would look like the above? Thank you.
  3. Thanks. I installed both plug-ins since they are mentioned in the tutorial. Maybe I didn't run the installer correctly before: Now, I can see a bunch of Vandermotten.*.dll in "c:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects. For newbies like me wanting to do the same thing, you only need the Drop Shadow plug-in, and use the Lasso tool: For each picture you want to edit… Use the Lasso Select tool to select a wavy ripped edge on the picture. Delete the selection with DEL Perform the above steps for all the pictures Create a new picture, and copy/paste the pictures you just edited. Thank you all.
  4. I don't have it. Do I need to perform extra steps after 0) stopping Paint.net, 1) unzipping the DLLs from the AA's Assistant zip files into Paint.NET's Effects sub-directory, 2) running the Drop Shadow installer, and 3) restarting P.net? Here are the files I have: Directory of c:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects 04/05/2014 14:54 13.312 AA's_Assistant.dll 25/10/2011 19:54 9.216 Alpha2Gray.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 7.168 Alpha_to_0.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 7.168 Alpha_to_255.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 9.216 BlackandAlpha+.dll 25/10/2011 20:31 10.752 Burninate.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 13.312 CircleText.dll 25/10/2011 19:27 9.728 ColorBalance.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 12.288 dpyColorBalance.dll 28/10/2011 15:23 8.192 Dream.dll 03/02/2017 16:45 0 files.txt 19/01/2017 01:13 17.408 FillFromClipboard.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 18.432 FillFromFile.dll 25/10/2011 20:33 7.680 Flip.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 23.040 FloydSteinbergDithering.dll 25/10/2011 19:28 10.752 GaussianBlurPlus.dll 28/10/2011 15:07 8.704 Gray2Alpha.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 11.264 GridCheckerboard.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 124.416 HSVGradients.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 444.928 HueSatPlus.dll 25/10/2011 19:29 11.776 Landscape.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 560.640 LevelHorizon.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 12.288 MemeMaker.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 10.240 Metallize.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 10.240 MultiThreshold.dll 25/10/2011 19:29 8.704 ObjectFeather.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 66.560 ObjectTools.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 12.288 OilPaintingPlus.dll 25/10/2011 20:34 10.240 OldFeather.dll 26/08/2008 17:38 10.240 Outline.dll 25/10/2011 19:45 10.240 PasteAlpha.dll 25/10/2011 19:39 10.752 Pastel.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 12.288 Perspective.dll 25/10/2011 19:30 10.752 PhotoAdjustments.dll 25/10/2011 19:31 11.264 Polygon.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 8.192 pxEexpansion.dll 28/10/2011 15:25 1.489 Rainbow Palette.txt 19/01/2017 01:13 374.784 RemoveDust.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 13.312 RotateText.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 13.312 RotateTextSUI.dll 04/05/2014 09:52 11.776 Rotate_Zoom+.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 486.912 SeamCarving.dll 30/10/2011 09:18 21.504 SelectionTools.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 16.384 SpeechBubble.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 24.576 SpiralText.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 39.936 Textplus.dll 25/10/2011 19:32 9.216 Transparency.dll 19/01/2017 01:13 21.504 VignettePlus.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 15.360 WaveText.dll 04/05/2014 14:54 24.576 WaveTextSUI.dll
  5. Thanks for the help. The video is for an older version, and the menus are a bit different. So I went throught the "Corrugated Cardboard" tutorial, but am stuck at Step 14: Even though I installed the two plug-ins (by copying the DLLs in "c:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\" and running the installer, respectively), there's no plug-in named "Drop Shadow" anywhere in the Effects menu: Has it been renamed recently? Thank you.
  6. Hello I'm a Paint.Net newbie, and was wondering what is the simplest way to combine two articles with a torn paper effect as shown in the attachment. Thank you.
  7. I'll piggy-back on this thread, since I'm stuck at drawing a shape. I added four screenshots, and would like to draw a shape on top of the screenshots. Problem is, for some reason, it's drawn on the Background layer. Even adding a new layer and drawing a shape doesn't solve it. I tried CTRL+D, nothing. Then went looking in the different menus for a clue, to no avail. What should I do after pasting multiple screenshots in a picture, before being able to add a shape? Thank you.
  8. Hello I googled before asking, but still can't figure out how to resize a selection like I could in PaintShop. I attached an example. After choosing the "Rectangle Select" tool, I select part of a picture. Next, I'd like to be able to change its size, before hitting Image > Crop to selection. How can I do this? Thank you.
  9. Effects > Render only contains basic shapes, not arrows. I'd rather some ready-to-use solution instead of having to learn how to write brushes. I'll see if there's a free alternative to PSP. Thank you.
  10. Thanks. I'll check if those packages have arrow-styles shapes available.
  11. Hello One thing I'm missing from PaintShop Pro are the preset shapes like arrows and such: Is there a way to get those in Paint.net? Thank you.
  12. Thanks for the tip. For those interested, here's the plug-in: http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=23957
  13. Thanks, but I meant icons like those: http://www.graphicxtras.com/products/pspshap_more1.htm ie. not straight lines. Do I need some plug-in? Thanks.
  14. Hello, PaintShopPro 7 or 8 offered tools such as curved arrows that sort of looked like this: http://www.pspug.org/tutorial/html/tutb ... row-02.gif I can't find the equivalent in Paint.net (3.36). Is this available, through plug-ins maybe? Thank you.
