You can first make your selection you wish to copy, then go to File> Copy, and then File > Paste into new layer (or on keyboard Ctrl+C then Ctrl+Shift+V) The advantage of your new selection being on a new layer gives you more freedom to manipulate and modify it to your liking

I need to texture an object and selected the parts I want to texture, but I need to copy+paste a texture into it. Meaning, I select an area, I copy+paste into the area without a giant square of texture covering everything up.

there are effects that will make a pic look like they were drawn by pencil or by ink, ill give you a link, but i dont think they will fool a teacher into thinking you didthem by hand

that will give you ink and pastel.. once installed you will find them under effects> artistic

I need to do an art project for school, and I want to make the Windows logo, but I suck. So I wanted to use a picture of it and change it to look like it was drawn by hand. Anyone know any good plugins, or can someone make one?
