Default save file type - setting? in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions Posted May 8, 2011 There is no way to set JPEG as default Save type. ==================================== There is this work-around, which may or might not be worth the effort. --------------------- Create a blank image, save as .jpg. Set its Properties to Read Only. Make a Paint.NET desktop shortcut with its Target info set to open Paint.NET with that file loaded. If you open every new file with that shortcut and do Save As... with only one layer, then it will save as .jpg as default. Thank you Thank you Thank you! That will save a lot of time for me!!!!
