Q1: Does Paint.Net have anything like an "airbrush" tool, which, like the old-fashioned "rattle can", by sweeping, triggering, fogging, and masking, lays on cumulative color gradients translucently/transparently? (remembering the "airbrush" tool in Windows "paint") Q2: Is there any patent reason why not (does microsoft own some right to any tool like that) Q3: in future builds of Paint.Net, would it be okay to contribute a tool-code like that to add to Paint.Net's tool box? Q4: has anyone else asked about this, is there another reason why it's not there? Okay, there's the general idea. I really use Paint.Net a lot, and recommend to friends, thanks.

Closest technique I've found with paint.net is to use transparent layers, and add gradient regions, then flatten when it looks okay. Wish list has had airbrush on it for a long time.
