There should be 4. You can also use right click for Bezier curves.

Thanks for reply, appreciated it .. oops.. yes there are 4 nodes but two of them are on the ends and are not useful at all in shaping the line.

It needs to have at least 6 - one each end and then 4 interspersed along the line. Any way they can bee added?

Is there any way to add more nodes to the line/curve tool please. Limited to only two is not enough :-(
