[DDS not correct after upgrade]

DDS save is:

DTX5 - Iterative fit

Error Metric - Perceptual

Weight color by Alpha

Generate Mip Maps - Super Sampling

 

[DDS not correct after upgrade]

My DDS files were working fine when loading them into the sim I painted them for. Older DDS files that I loaded into the sim to test work just fine. After the update to the latest paint.net a few days ago everything I save to DDS wont appear in the sim...Nothing has changed in the sim.

Any ideas??

Thank You taoyue......I did everything you said to do but still had the errors so I completely wiped out the program then re-installed a fresh download to a different drive and it all works great!!!

I too just downloaded the newest Paint.net 4.0.12 AND the latest psd plugin 2.5.0 . Now I can't save a freshly created file and it won't open any psd files that I've previously created and/or downloaded.  I did the "2 stage copy" as stated above and my "FileTypes" folder does have the PhotoShop.dll file in there along with only one other dll (IcoCur.dll).

 

 

The file opening error is this:

[Simple tasks]

I've been using paint.net for awhile but really miss things other programs have. My problem is I can't seem to figure out how to get it to do things differently.

I'd like the selection tool to snap to the move tool automatically. Can this be done? How do I do it?

When on a layer and I do select something it seems to take a background with it as well I thought layers were transparent. I create a new layer,draw a line, select that line and CTRL+Move it and I get the line in a white box which covers up anything else on the layer. Windows Paint has a button to push to eliminate the white box(selection background).....does Paint.net have this function?

I'd also like the line tool to stop automatically switching to the Bezier function after I've drawn a line.

I've scoured the forums but can't seem to find any answers.

[Error saving large PNG images?]

Hi : I just ran into the same exact problem trying to save a .psd file. It is about 21megs and has 81 layers. It takes awhile to open it but it eventually opens ok and is fully workable but when I go to save it I get the same result as above.
