Those four error messages can be ignored.
The Ed Harvey download zip should contain two files:
EdHarvey.Edfects.Common.dll
EdHarvey.Effects.dll
ok i will, now what about the tools where do i fine it at

Try downloading again using a different browser.
The Ed Harvey zipped file isn't inherently damaged,
as I have just downloaded it and installed it.
It works fine on my PC.
It opened easily by left-clicking.

Download Ed Harvey Effects by left-clicking this link:

the compressed (zipped )folder is invalid or corrupted and dam hard to open with out a zip file opener
Download to your Desktop, then left-click the zip (no PeaZip)
to open it.
If both files are there, copy/paste them into the Effects folder.

I feel quite sure that the tutorial mistakenly directed you
to a plugin that would show up in a Tools sub-category.
The plugin you need has a similar name and is in its own
sub-menu (Not in Tools).
This is the one that you need:
Alpha Mask Import
this one i already have ,and it in the right place and has nothing to do with tools
The lowest red outline shows where Alpha Mask will appear when installed.

i click on effect and i have no color or tools :o can you help

try it the two you said were the one's i download ,so i reinstall it and it did not work, its still in the wrong ? place and now my tools is missing
rustman52,Threshold is part of Ed Harvey's plugin pack.
Download the most current version here:
If Threshold is showing in your Adjustments menu you may
have an outdated plugin file.
I believe that the tutorial author meant to say, use the
Alpha Mask Import plugin.

i am writing to you because i am trying to repair some old black & white that have some scratches on them i went to the section (fixing a damaged photoclick to view and started to follow the instructions ,and download the plugins that it ask for,threshold,and alpha mask tool in the tutorial it said( First on the list often, is to remove the background and replace it with something similar to what once was. start by creating a mask by using Effects/Colour/”Threshold”, and choose the best BW that isolates what you would like to keep. Adjust it with a black or white paintbrush until the image is completely divided. Save this layer as a bmp file then using the Effects/Tools/”Alpha-Mask Tool” locate and insert your new mask onto a duplicated image of the original.) so i go to effects ,no colour and threshold .i found threshold in (adjustments )in adjusrment i have color match,and color balance is one of them it ,or do i have to download something else. then i got to effects tool and no alpha mask tool what is there is draw with custom brushes mini .alpha mask toolis down below tools is this right ?or did i download something wrong.this looks like it will be a good program once i figure it out. i try even to uninstall pant .nei and reinstall paint.net and threshold is in adjusment and now tool is gone
